Freshman Year wasn't such a creative time in my life, what with adjusting to both hard classes and a new school and new kids to interact with my then little creative self had little room to stretch his little bug wings and fly away. This fact can be seen in this assignment. The goal of this work was to write a mocking satire complete with a hard to understand fictional dialogue between nations, nations that interact with each other in only the most stereotypical of ways. Well okay maybe that wasn't the assignment but that's what i did anyway. Pay close attention to the spelling of bastard, a good laugh was shared by my nerd friends and I at out peer-editing session, a good laugh indeed. This was written at a time when to my politically polarized eyes clearly saw "conservatives" as BAD and "liberals" as GOOD, only now do I understand the error of my assumptions. I believe my grade on this was a B.

Making America Beautiful

Now that our fine nation is in its 229th year, I thought that 229 is a good year to take a look back at our "fine" Nation and see just what the heck happened to representative "democracy". I thought it would be good to see what exactly changed America from: "The New Hope" to "The Phantom Menace."

To achieve this we must look at the World before America. So here we are in 1775, there's France and England trying to keep control of their respected colonies while Russia is talking to Germany about non-conforming. When suddenly Britain's basturd child USA crawls into the room announcing in an accent entirely of his own that he had ran away from the scary red lobster (England) and has developed a better system of government. Well you can imagine the shock in the room, not to mention England's surprise that he was finally a father, but before anything else happened the boy grew up quicker than an Olympic athlete's hat size. Soon the new nation had an army and economy, not to mention trading and industry. It was even beginning to steal land away from the native people, how cute!

But then the nation's shine began to fade and it began to look uglier and uglier at a greater rate than its father had. This worried its allies and they called in a doctor to see what was wrong with America. It didn't take long to see that this once great Country had been tarnished by a dreadful case of conservatation.

Yes the poor new nation who once had abundant resources and a relatively employed workforce now had a group of methodical virus-like stiffs who spread across every aspect of life and slowly began to take rights and money away from minorities and the poor. Unfortunately, the sickness had spread to most of the institutions and aspects of life. Also unfortunately for the Nation some of the civilians were welcoming the conservatives with open arms! People who wanted to shoot guns and watch people kill each other on the news.

Fortunately for America, a recovery is possible, we can return to the good peaceful, liberal days of strong economy and safe guns-free streets. Days when we were considered a world leader and not a hated warmonger. You can help bring back those days by rejecting policies that encourage intolerance to minorities, of race, of creed, and of sexual preference. Only you can make America beautiful again by putting liberals in charge, whichever political party they are from. People that don't limit your freedom and start wars. Only you can make America shine. Will you?
